Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II Review Part 2
I finally thought it was time to bring my Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II in front of the camera to do a review. I have used, carried and tested this firearm extensively and think I have enough information and perspective to do a in depth and through review. Starting in September of 2009 I purchased this Kimber and ever since then I have been hooked. My shooting style immediately took to the 1911′s grip angle and battery of arms. I found that only after a couple shooting sessions I had adapted to the Kimber well and could shoot it as well if not better than any other firearm. Kimber makes a quality product that is well worth the money. I would highly suggest the Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II for personal defense, CCW and the shooting sports! Enjoy.

@MrAKFrost? Thannks for watching.
I have a Ruger P90 .45 that was modeled after the legendary design of the 1911 — and it does not have? a “Paperclip” tool required for breakdown. I can break down my handgun by hand using? my ten fingers. I was dreading even buying this gun because what if I were to lose the “Paperclip” tool? That “Paperclip” tool was the deciding factor for me.. I won’t be buying this gun, ever.. thank you for the review, very well done. Look forward to more of your material. Thank you!
Great review. Merry Christmas? and happy new year
Huge flaw in your video for disassembly and reassembly. You should NEVER have the gun upside down or press the grip safety while taking the slide off or putting it back on. Kimbers have? a Schwartz safety and you can shear the pin off if it is engaged, which would render the gun incapable of firing.
@hevyAccel? The safety is only on the left side and it cannot be moved over or have another added.
I couldn’t tell by the video. The safety isn’t ambidextrous, is the frame set up so that you could put ambidextrous controls on it like the CDP II? I really want this one, but no ambidextrous controls is pretty close to a deal breaker for me. (I’m ambidextrous but my woman is? a lefty)
@pbplayer2007 It did not need a break in period. It has run flawlessly from round 1.?
How long was the break in? period on this gun?
@philly4458 Kimber does have their occasional hiccup but have not had any issues? with mine. Kimber makes wonderful 1911s and if you are in the market I would strongly recommend them. Thanks for watching.
I watch a lot of videos about The Kimber 1911 misfeeds? Etc; I even thought about the Sig P220 .45 any comments PLEADE email me.
Thank you for your review. I am seriously thinking of buy a? Kimbetr CDP 11
Sounds great, thanks for the information and thanks? again for posting your video!

@walleyekillercom The magazine that came with the firearm is complete crap. I? picked up two Wilson Combat Magazines and have not had any problems with them. I have noticed the casings ejecting up and over on a couple occasions but for the most part they eject out to the right and away from me.
Have you experienced any issues with it ejecting casings up and to the rear, towards your head? I am thinking seriously about purchasing one and the two problems I read most about are poor quality magazines and the casings ejecting and hitting the shooter in the head. The magazine issue is easily resolved, but the other is? a different story. Thanks for posting your video!!
@Taintboy
Ahh…this is a public forum. But maybe you’re just? too simple to realize that.
@Castleknight I think you might be seeing the on/off? switch for the laser.
@Gooberpeas2
Umm, I am legitimately asking. Who? asked you?
@Taintboy
Are you joking or just trolling? Either way, your? comment is out of place.
@edgedweapon88
Actually, I think he means the little switch on the lower rear of the left grip which, if I’m not mistaken, is the on/off switch for the lasergrips. The rubberized strap on the front of the grip is the momentary on/off switch for the laser. The little one is the? main on/off switch.
Is the 88 because you’re a? nazi?
i like tht gun but i like the one right above that one, the CDP, it got a stainless steel slide and a aluminum frame also the trigger is match? grade on the CDP 2, everything else in size is identical. i would go with the 4inch Pro, it will be used for the house no carry.
@Castleknight It’s the on/off switch? for the crimson trace laser grip
Shootin a Kimber with a Glock hat on… is that allowed? Just kidding. ? Nice vid.
@Castleknight – Down there about an inch from the bottom of the grip? ?
